100 whales held captive in Russia
#1
A harbour in Russia was found to be hiding 100 captured whales(Belugas and Orcas). They are mostly young whales and it is believed they are being sent to Chinese marine parks.

Even though it is probably illegal and certainly inhumane this has been going on and likely will continue until something is done.
There is money to be made from selling whales. The whole idea of profiting from selling wildlife or body parts of wildlife has got to change. While we still have a lack of respect for whales they will continue to be trafficked. As long as we don't respect endangered species and work to protect them, things like this will go on.  This time I am actually shocked. All those whales in pens is a well planned and well funded enterprise.  This isn't the case of poor villagers surviving by killing and endangered animal. This required boats to catch the whales and the means of shipping them.

I hope they can be forced to stop this.
