An increase in the Monarch Butterfly population
#1
We have no hard numbers, but people who observe Monarch Butterflies know that there are more butterflies this year.
I have seen more in my garden and I have even seen them laying eggs. I have no chrysalid cases so far, but I have a lot of milk weed and that should be enough.

This is a story of ordinary people wanting to help an extraordinary butterfly. We have all been planting milkweed and there is now enough here for the butterflies to thrive. I know their numbers are not that good yet and we do still need to keep working. However, if the butterflies survive it is because of their strong will to live and many people's help.
If we lose them it is not because we failed to try or they fought to survive. Climate change and human activity may still prove too much for our noble butterflies. But not on my watch if I can do anything to stop it. A lot of other people feel the same way.
Live little butterflies, live!
