Canada Goose changes ads rather than change its treatment of animals
#1
Canada Goose, the company who makes the expensive Canada Goose coats, claims on its web site to treat animals ethically. After a Peta exposé which showed animals being abused in the making of the coats, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission questioned their claims that they treat animals well.
Canada Goose's response was to remove all reference to the ethical treatment of animals from their web site.

So rather than improving their treatment of animals so that it at least matched their claims, they have chosen to stop claiming to treat animals well. That is not the response we wanted. I can't believe any company would do that.
The only good news in tis is that their share prices have dropped. The public is not happy with them.

I wish they would change their ways. I live in a cold country where their arctic parkas are very popular. I am tired of riding the subway in a car that is filled with people wearing dead coyotes that would have suffered before they were killed and skinned.
