Antioch College plans to eat lambs used as lawn mowers.
#1
All summer Antioch College used 9 lambs to keep their grass mowed. After a summer of faithful service keeping the college grounds nice the plan is to slaughter the lambs and serve them to the students for dinner
Please sign the PETA petition to stop this.

The college was using the lambs for their own needs in the first place. To kill and eat them just shows a callous attitude towards animals. These people are supposed to be education young people to be good citizens with responsible careers.
The lesson they are teaching is use whoever you want and then use them and abuse them further.

Having the lambs there to cut the grass only works as an ecologically sound practice if they provide for the lambs afterwards.
they could arrange to house them for the winter and bring them back in the spring or they could rehome them to a sanctuary and bring in a new set of lambs next year. Eating the lambs leaves a bad taste or rather is in bad taste.

I signed. Poor lambs
But to meat eaters this would seem quite normal... That's the sad thing.

It just seems so cold and unfeeling to have the lambs around all summer keeping the lawns nice and neat and then to turn around and have them for dinner. They should be thanking them for their service and sending them somewhere gentle to live out their lives.

To use them and then to eat them is very uncaring. If eating meat makes people that uncaring then we need to give up meat as a species. The planet will thank us and we might become a much nicer species.
