15th Korean Dog Meat Farm Shut Down!
#1
Humane Society International has been working to shut down the Korean dog meat industry. They work with the farmers to help them transition into other types of farming.  The dogs are released to HSI for transport to other countries where they can be cared for and ultimately adopted.
This time 80 dogs will be coming to Montreal, Canada.

This may seem like a slow process to shut down the dog meat industry, but it is also working. There are less and less dog meat farms.
People in Korea are less likely to eat dog meat. The younger generation even more so. So with time and steady pressure the industry will be shut down. No one will be raising dogs for food and no one will be willing to eat them.
It is a slow and steady way to end to end the dog meat industry, but it will be permanent.

I can't wait to hear about the dogs ending up in Canada. I wonder if we will get some of them in Toronto.
