Police officer stones wombat, possibly killing it
#1
The forces of so-called law and order have been at "work", stoning an innocent wombat:

It can only be hoped that the investigation leads not only to his sacking but also to prosecution.

WHAT!!!
How could anyone stone a wombat. They are such passive and helpless creatures.
He not only did it, but he laughed and posted it on social media.

It is more shocking to find out that he is a police officer. Or at least he was a police officer. He better be fired by now.

Whatever happens he needs to be charged. A simple fine is not enough. He needs to do some jail time for his cruelty to such a gentle creature. They need much tougher laws to protect animals like wombats.

It's hard to believe that anyone could do that to the poor gentle creature. What harm had it ever done him? The man sounds like a psychopath. He should not be serving as a police officer ! So very sad.

We have lost three days posts on this subject. The police officer made claims about traditional hunting. What I saw in the video was an act of cruelty. It did not come across as any form of traditional hunting. He tormented and scared and injured the wombat then he killed it.

He can't be charged and he won't be fired. However as a police officer he relies on the trust of his fellow officers.
Would you trust this man? Would you risk your life to save him? He might find it is not so east to "serve and protect" when no one wants to work with you. The public that is outraged by the video will not trust him. The wombat may be dead, but the police officer may never be free of it.
