Holiday hampers for pets

The Winnipeg Humane Society  help a shelter event where young people created holiday hampers for pets in need. These hampers will go to families who can't afford to spoil their pets. Young people who care about animals spent time making toys and filling hampers.

This is a wonderful way to meet the needs of pets in the community and to engage young people in giving to those in need. 
Children who care often don't know how to help. This teaches them a way to give to animals in need.  I wish there were more programs like this.

I think it is a wonderful way to engage people, especially the kids. The pets will enjoy the hampers too.
