Prehistoric dog found
#1
A prehistoric dog, a puppy really was found in the permafrost in Siberia. It is estimated to be from 18,000 years ago. It is very well preserved. It has not been clear if this is a dog or a wolf or perhaps an ancestor to both. Scientists are examining the DNA to answer these and many more questions.

This find could really answer a lot of questions about the early history of dogs.
They know that the puppy was male,  about two months old and he has been named Dogor.

They still can't determine if Dogor was a wolf or a dog. For now while they study the data, Dogor can be seen at the Mammoth Museum in yakutsk.
