This is all over the news since the hatchery is in Ontario. Our Ontario Society for the Prevention Of Cruelty to Animals has started an investigation.

Maple Leaf Foods is a big company. They cannot afford to be linked to something like this. The video was taken in their hatchery so they are linked. The question is.....what will they do about it? Will there be any meaningful change?
That remains to be seen, but if there is no change, we don't need to buy any of their products. Maybe our local grocery stores can stop carrying their products. Maybe the other companies linked to hatcheries will look into what happens before they are linked to a scandal like this.
The excuse is that the hatchery is up to industry standards. Sadly that is true because the standards are so deplorable.
