The cat came back---8 years later

Lots of people lose cats, some even get them back. Angus came back after an eight year absence.

Can you imagine the surprize when they got the call. They are right about micro chipping. It does get pets back to their homes, eventually.Smiley4

I have heard of such cases before. As you say, the microchip enabled him to be identified and returned. Well worth doing.

Yes it is worth having a pet microchipped.
I have heard that from 2016 it will be compulsory in the UK (? think so)
I go to the DogLost (http://www.doglost.co.uk) website a lot, and have sometimes helped in the search for lost dogs, if they are in my area. The ones who are microchipped have a much greater chance of being reunited.

This cat didn't look too happy to be back home again! I am sure he will be alright once he gets used to things once more. I have a feeling -if that had been a dog, he would have looked much happier.....

Who knows, maybe the cat has been travelling for the last eight years. It would be a bit frustrating to be on an eight year journey and end up at your starting point.

It must be odd for the cat and the people to see each other after that much time. I am sure they will work it out. I thought it was great that they took him back after all that time. They did try to find him when he first went missing so they really cared about the cat.

It is anyone's guess as to how the cat felt. They can be very secretive about their feelings and their comings and goings.
