FDA allows lab animals to be adopted
#1
The American Food and Drug Administration has decided to allow lab animals to be adopted after they have finished there time in the labs. This means that a great number of healthy animals that would have been killed will now be given a chance to live happy lives.

We can hope that other agencies will follow the example of the FDA. The desired goal is to have labs stop testing on animals. Until then it is still a victory to have healthy animals get a chance at life instead of death once their usefulness is over. Big victories, like the end of lab testing are sometimes won by little victories like letting former lab animals live. Once enough people have former lab animals as pets they will be viewed differently and people will be less willing to tolerate lab testing on animals.

People are starting to choose products that were not tested on animals. We are seeing a change in thinking that can only make things better for animals.

Animal testing should not still be a thing.
Admitting that the animals deserve loving homes afterwards is a step towards admitting that they shouldn't have been used in the first place. Things will change, but it is taking so much time. So many animals will still suffer until this is ended.
