One of the Canadian animal rescue groups has returned from helping in Australia. It is interesting to hear first had about their experiences in the fire ravaged areas.

I think they put it so well when they describe what was lost as the animals homes. For those who survived, their home the forest is still gone. It must have been very traumatic and yet rewarding to be able to help directly. They certainly can tell the rest of us what they saw and give us a better picture of what can be done and what areas need funds.
I haven't heard about the firefighters. Some of them should be returning home or are already home.
It takes a lot to just put your life on hold and go where you are needed. I am glad there are people who are willing and able to do that.
