It is wonderful what The Gentle Barn are doing.

It was good to see the mother and her baby reunited. Of course they feel the pain of separation from their loved ones!

Smiley19 I love a happy ending. That cow knew her calf was in the trailer the moment she saw it. Maybe she could hear him, but she became more frantic in her calls. How wonderful to see them reunited.

I came across the Gentle Barn when I was reading about the veal calves. How wonderful to have such gentle caring people in the world.Heart Just by being there, they make the world a better place.
They can't rescue every animal, but they rescue the ones they can. Sometimes that is the best way to approach things. It certainly makes a difference in the lives of one cow and her beloved calf.Heart

That's just beautiful.
How dare we assume that animals don't feel the pain of separation.
After all, are we not just animals of a different stripe?

They feel what we feel and when I watched the cow crying, I cried for her pain and when I saw her joy at being reunited with her calf, I cried for her happiness.
How arrogant to think that we are so far above the animals that our feelings are different. But think back, there was a time not so long ago when poor people were not thought to have the same feelings as rich people.

I will long cherish the sight of the cow and calf coming together again. It was unexpected joy since these reunions do not normally happen.
