Toronto Zoo works to protect the big cats from the virus
#1
In the light of the fact that a big cat tested positive for Covid 19 in the Bronx zoo, keepers in Toronto Zoo are being very careful.

They already have the habit of caution with the Gorillas. Gorillas can pick up human viruses. It is unclear what animals can get Covid 19
or how serious it would be. So the keepers will work to prevent any animal, especially a big cat from getting the infection.

What this means or how this effects our relationship to cats of any kind, is unclear. It is not known if a human could get the virus from a cat, big or small. So far any transmission has been from human to animal. Only time and testing will tell.
