Shelter staff move into the shelter for the pandemic lockdown.
#1
A shelter in South Africa has very dedicated staff. Rather than risk the animals being left with not one to care for them, five  of them have moved into the shelter for the duration of the pandemic lockdown. The animals are already feeling vulnerable and lonely because the  volunteers are not able to visit. Having the staff there all the time will help reassure them. It also means that whatever happens there will be someone there  to care for the animals. If they try to travel back and forth they may have problems and at some point not be able to reach the shelter. This is the  only way they can be sure the animals are safe.

This is real dedication. They will not be able to see their families. I doubt the shelter is really set up for human comfort. They are right though. It is the only way to guarantee that the animals will not be left without help. These are special people who put the welfare of the animals first. I hope they do well and the animals all find loving homes when this is over.
