Dog rescue groups and Covid 19
#1
All the dog rescue groups are being effected by the Covid 19 virus.  An example is Redemption Paws. and their work.  In their last trip they brought 115 dogs from Texas to Toronto where they could stat newer better lives. Their next trip this past March had to be cancelled. That means the dogs are still in Texas where there is no room for them. Some will die as a result.  Because of the changed circumstances the organization has had to rent space to house the animals until they can be fostered and adopted. A number of groups have seen an increase in applications to foster animals, but it is harder to do this and follow all medical precautions.
This is also effecting fundraisers at a time groups need more funds.

This is a difficult time for everyone. All over rescue groups are having similar experiences.  If you are stuck at home with nothing to do you should check out your local animal rescues and see if there is some way you can help. Everyone is struggling, but the animals are vulnerable and they depend on us to meet their needs. If we can help we should all do what we can. We will get through this, but sadly for some dogs, they will never be given a chance. Let's try and help the ones we can.
