A bear is seen in Spanish park for the first time in 150 years.

Natural Park O Invernadeiro in Northern Spain is now home to a lot of wildlife. Two year ago cameras were set up to track the wildlife of the park.
Imagine their surprise when the camera captured imaged of a young Brown Bear. The images are quite good and the bear is very much at home.
This means the park is now suitable as a habitat for bears. There are few bears left in Spain, but it is hoped their numbers are improving.  This is a whole new area where bears might choose to live. You have to look at the video. The bear is really very funny.

The park is definitely a conservation success story. Clearly enough wildlife and natural habitat exists to actually attract a bear. If he didn't see what he liked he would not have stayed.  I hope this is a sign that the bear population is recovering. Humans have driven way too many species to the edge of extinction. If we can help them to recover we are at least starting to fix things.
