Charlotte's Freedom Farm suffered a barn fire on Wednesday night. The sanctuary operator ran into the burning barn to release animals and bring them to safety.
Most of their animals survived. Sadly they lost a miniature pony, a dog and three cats. Everyone else if fine. Their supporters have already raised money and offered to help. They have worked out ways to house all the animals until a new barn is built. They even took some of the animals into the house for the night.
They can bring in temporary shelters as soon as the government permits are issued.
It has been a tragedy, but they have most of their animals and they are carrying on as best they can.

I feel for them losing so many animals. It must be a very hard time. However it is amazing how many animals they did save. That was very brave to run into the burning barn and it gave many animals a chance. I hope they are able to build a good new barn before winter. For now they can manage. You have to admire people who keep on going in the midst of disaster. The animals are lucky to have found their way to Charlotte's Freedom Farm. Whatever happens they will be cared for.
