Surrounded by Alpaca Farms
#1
As our area opens up post pandemic there are all kinds of suggestions of fun things you can do around Toronto. I came across an article listing Alpaca farms in the area where I could visit and actually touch an alpaca. It seems that I am surrounded by alpaca farms. I had no idea.

These are just the farms in the immediate area. There are probably many that are further away.
I had no idea that there were places I could visit and spend time with alpacas. From the pictures they look like very happy alpacas.
It would be fun to go and see one of the farms.

There's a farm down the street from my mom. They have alpacas, cows, donkeys, and horses. Just right off the street and they are a little skittish but super interested. When I lived at home I would walk the dogs with my mom that way just so we could say hi to the "big doggies".

Yes, Libby, you are right. Alpacas are super curious. Whenever anyone passes down the road near us on foot, they rush to see who it is.

Catherine, I think you would enjoy a visit or two to see alpacas close up. Most are very tame, although they don't usually like having their heads touched (necks are usually OK).

I think it would be fun. It would be nice to just drive in the country and spend some time with the Alpacas.
I can see them not liking their heads being touched. Most animals don`t like their heads touched.

Alpacas do look like curious and gentle creatures.

I had no idea there were so many in Ontario.

I am sure the show didn`t take place, but they will be back next year.

Actually there are even more Alpacas than I realized.

Shearing day is very different here than some places we have looked at.

Alpacas must do well here.  There are a great many of them.
