Blind cat seeks home along with her two seeing eye kittens

Merriweather, Fauna and Flora were brought in as strays to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Staff realized that Merriweather is blind. They further noticed that Flora and Fauna actually guide her around. They are her seeing eye cats. It is hoped now that someone will adopt all three cats together. Merriweather needs the younger cats and they are all bonded with each other.

Out there must be the perfect home that would happily take on three cats at once and work to make life better for blind Merriweather.
I have never heard of a cat guiding another cat before. We have heard stories of horses and other animals guiding a blind friend. It is interesting that there are two of them guiding Merriweather.  I wonder if they were her kittens. I wonder how she lost her sight and how long she has been blind.  How did they ever manage as strays. We will probably never know, but I am sure it is an amazing story. Now all it needs is the right forever home to give it a happy ending.
