People don't think of reptiles as parents, especially since many of them lay eggs. The gharial, a member of the crocodile family, carries his babies on his back.
I do mean his, since it is dad who carries the babies.

The picture of the father with all his little ones is beautiful. Gharials are good fathers and they carry their young protectively on their backs.
How he keeps track of them all is beyond me. I love the fact that the babies just know to go to him for protection.
There are a lot of good parents out there in the animal world. There are even quite a few in the reptile world.
