Petition against fur farming in the EU
#1
The petition is at the end of the article after a video taken on a Polish mink farm. The worker who took the video talks about it and clearly he was deeply effected by his experiences. Fur farming is inherently cruel and increasingly unpopular with the general population of Poland. It is time it was banned by their government.

We no longer need fur to keep warm and mink were more of a decorative fur anyhow. Mink have been killed in huge numbers because of the corona virus.
Much of the fashion industry has stopped using fur. It is time this whole industry was ended. Banning fur in the EU is good, but it should be banned elsewhere too.
There is no need for fur farming anywhere.

Signed. Shamefully, France is on the list of countries - although public opposition is growing stronger against fur farms. The advantage of the EU is that it can force reluctant countries to improve animal welfare laws. A recent example was the banning of "sow cages" throughout the EU.

This is terrible. A living hell for hundreds of those poor animals.

It is just unbelievable that we continue to raise animals for fur in so many countries.  Canada is no better than France, but I think the EU is more likely to ban fur farms than Canada. We still have people out there trapping animals with leg hold traps. We have a long way to go.

The more we push the truth about fur farming the more people are against it. Someday this will end. Until then many animals are living in hell.
Some day humans will look back and wonder how we could be so cruel and barbaric.
