Oh Deer

It seems one of Toronto's many deer tried to take the expressway this morning.

It took the efforts of many, but she is safe now. The Rouge valley is very nice and she will be fine there with all the other deer.

I'm glad the deer was captured humanely and safely.

Some of the comments on that article leave a lot to be desired.

The two things I noticed were the stupidity of some of the comments and how well all the different agencies worked together to rescue the deer.
The police handled the traffic and Animal Services worked with the deer an when it was clear they needed special vet help, the Toronto Zoo sent a vet and a tranquilizer gun. Everyone worked together to ensure the deer was unharmed. She will do well in the Rouge Valley. The Zoo is part of the Rouge Valley Park. There are woods and streams and other deer so she will be fine.

I love a happy ending.Heart
