Chimps in sanctuary enjoy first snow of the season.

Chimps at the Project Chimps Sanctuary in Georgia were pictures enjoying the first snow of the season.
The special thing about this is that they are former research animals and now they are free to live out their lives in a sanctuary.
They didn't see snow when they lived in lab cages.  The sanctuary currently houses 78 chimps, but will soon be home to 200 chimps.

I am glad they are enjoying the snow. As one who lives much further north, I assure you, the novelty wears off very quickly.
It is wonderful to see them living active lives full of interesting things. If eating snow gives then some fun, then, let it snow.
