He likes dogs and dogs like him. That tells you a lot about the man. He is willing to have an ordinary rescue dog as a pet. That tells us even more.
This will be an unofficial year of the rescue dog. Many people will think about adoption who never considered it before. I can't wait to see pictures of 
Major in the White House. I am sure the shelter he came from never dreamed anything like this would happen to him.
