Fire fighters were called to a blaze. While they were going through the house, a large iguana jumped onto a fire fighter's head. It stayed there while the fire fighter left the building. He did not know it was there Imagine the fire fighter's surprise when he got outside and he had a four foot lizard on his head.

Iguanas are smart. This one must have seen a fire fighter's helmet as a good way out of danger. They don't like being picked up anyhow and it is unlikely anyone at the fire would know how to lift an iguana. So the lizard solved the problem by grabbing onto a passing helmet. Iguanas are real characters and very intelligent. I could picture the lizard sensing danger and choosing his own way out.
