Filmmakers shows that urban wildlife is good for us
Filmmaker and Port Hope resident has made a documentary called Nature's Cleanup Crew.
It will be aired on CBC's The Nature of Things on January 31, 2021 at 9pm.
It explores our misconceptions about urban wildlife. People see wildlife as pests, a source of disease and a danger. In truth, wildlife that live in cities work to keep them clean. We are better off because of what they do. The filmmaker explores the role of animals in different cities around the world.   Around the world wildlife are  beneficial to us.

Hopefully after seeing this documentary people will come to appreciate our urban wildlife friends. Even if they were not helpful, animals make the city more livable.
They add life and interest to our streets and gardens. I hope some of you are able to watch it.

This might be a link to it.
