Very sad indeed. I hope the cat is found eventually, maybe wandering around the airport somewhere. Presumably, someone left the baggage door open.
In most countries, there are specialist companies which transport domestic animals door-to-door (sometimes by exchanging drivers/vehicles en route), with regular food/water/rest stops. Does this exist in Canada? He could have flown ahead and then waited for his two cats to arrive by road. How do the costs compare in Canada?
