Airline loses cat in baggage room...found 3 weeks later

I am not sure such animal transport companies exist in Canada. I have never heard of anything like it.
I doubt they could transport animals like that right now. There are travel restrictions. Quebec has a curfew and Ontario has a stay at home order.
By taking the cats with him he was able to bring one cat safely in the plane cabin. It was the one that was checked in the cargo hold that was lost.
The cat carrier should not have been put down in an open area. Something must have been done to cause the door to open. If the carrier had been in a closed room the cat could have been easily caught.  If they had let the man help right away there was a good chance he could have found his cat.

The whole thing was handled badly.  Airlines are not good when it comes to transporting animal safely. Even during a pandemic when there are few flights, they still can't get it right.
