My Skinks have babies
#1
I have a male and female Green Tree Skink. I have had her 12 years and I have had him ten years. I was just going to feed them when I noticed something very tiny in the tank.

I only have a picture of one so far, but I did see a second one. They are very tiny and fragile. WOW! after all these years they have hatched some eggs.
It was a total surprise.

Good news! How long do green tree skinks live? Sadly, the photograph isn't visible.

I think I have fixed the picture. It is now sideways and I will have to figure out how that happened and correct it.

Skinks live a long time. I have had the female Verdi since  2009 and the male Jade since 2011. They were adults when I got them and they don't look any older.

This is the second baby. It is a little smaller.

Skinks can take years to mature and they look after their babies. Even the other skinks in the tank will be fine with the little ones. That is one of the things I love about skinks. There are many different species of skinks, but they are all really nice and live together peacefully.
