Baby goat stolen from petting farm
#1
Riverdale farm is a petting farm in Toronto. Their female goat Fuschia gave birth to two female goats three months ago. Justine and Juniper are still very small and dependent on their mother. Someone climbed over the fence and stole Juniper. All of us are devastated by this. The poor little goat would be so terrified.

This is a terrible thing. The farm is so open so people can see the animals. Someone took advantage of that.
I wish I thought that someone wanted a pet goat and took her because she is cute. I doubt it is anything that nice.
They are worried about the goat needing to be with her mom so she can nurse. I think she was taken to be eaten.
Goat meat is very expensive and not easy to get. A young goat would be even more expensive. I really fear for her.
It might already be too late.

The farm is going to have to do more now to protect its animals. That is sad. Local people have enjoyed the farm's openness.
