A number of fence posts were were piled up waiting to be used on a Saskatchewan farm. It was discovered that they were missing. The RCMP were called in to investigate the theft. They traced the missing lumber and found the thieves.
The thieves were beavers and the fence posts were now part of their dam.

Think about it, the beavers were working on their dam and they came across a pile of posts all neatly cut and just a perfect fit for the dam the were building.
They must have been overjoyed by their find. They probably worked all night to move the logs and set them in their dam.
It is probably the best dam they have ever built. I assume the people had to get new fence posts. The beaver were not going to be giving the old ones back.
We do have our moments with beavers don't we.
An added beaver bonus video.

I love our beavers.
