A bunny nursery in the city
#1
There are a lot of parks and wild animals in Toronto. It is like a network across the city.  It turns out there is a fenced area, an empty lot really, that is overgrown with Dandelions and other plants, near a large park that has rabbits. The rabbits have been seen feeding their babies in that fenced lot. It is a safe area with lots to eat. It is also walking distance from where I live. I need to go look for it.

It is incredible how well animals have adapted to urban life. We fence off a lot and leave it vacant and animals use it as a safe place to feed their young.
All around us animals are adapting to the world we have created. We think our cities belong to us, but maybe not so much. The animals probably out number us.
We made a point of designing garbage cans to be raccoon proof. You never hear of a raccoon designing something to be human proof.

I think I need to take a walk and look for the rabbit nursery.
