Someone in California is catching pelicans and breaking their wings. Sadly 22 birds couldn't be saved. The police have no suspects or any information about the incidents. They are appealing to the public for information.

This is a terrible act of cruelty. An injured pelican is helpless. They would be unable to feed. I hope they have found all the injured birds. It would be sad to think of a pelican slowly starving to death, unable to fly or help its self.
I can't imagine what kind of monster would break a bird's wing and leave it to suffer. I really hope someone turns the person in. There needs to be consequences for cruelty like this.
