Toronto Zoo Orangutan turns 54

Pupe the Toronto Zoo Sumatran Orangutan turned 54 today. She arrived when the zoo first opened so it is very much her zoo. She has had a good life and has raised many children. She is also a very clever girl. If she gets a water sprayer she will have a lot of fun. I fully expect to get sprayed.

She definitely had quite a birthday party. You can see she is having fun. 
Pupe is a grand old lady. Many times I have sat beside her  with just the glass between us and we just enjoyed being there. I wish I could have been there for her party. I would love to have seen her having fun.
