Cat Cafe
#1
This sounds like something I should check out. I love cats and cappuccinos.

I am not sure how the business works or if they can make a go of it, but the idea is great. Whether you go there for the coffee or for a kitten, it would be a great place to meet people and hang out.

I'm all for anything that brings animals needing homes to the public notice. I hope it takes off.

This sounds like a wonderful idea. As Cibach says, anything which helps homeless animals deserves to succeed.

What a very good idea. Then people can meet the cats in a relaxed atmosphere, and get to know their characters a bit before adopting. I presume the usual stringent 'adoption checks' will still operate? (To hopefully prevent someone adopting on a whim of some sort.)
I had no idea these cafes existed!

I think this is a new idea. The café has not set up a permanent location yet. They are hoping it catches on and on the day they did a start up opening a number of cats found homes.
They are working with a local cat rescue and so they would us their protocols for adoptions. They find that if you can get people together with the animals, adoptions happen. It is not so much a whim as people and cats finding each other.

I really hope it works. Toronto has lots of needy cats. If it works here then they might be able to get it to work in other cities.
