Cat returns home after 13 years!

Shelby the black and white cat went missing 13 years ago. Her family gave up hope. Then one day, an old, dirty stray cat turned up on their doorstep, needing some care. They took the cat to the vet, but it was only after a little while that they recognised this cat as Shelby!
13 years missing -now home. What on earth could have happened to this cat, and why did it take so long to come home? No-one will ever know. But Shelby is glad to be back with her family again.

Thirteen years! You know there is a story there, but the cat is never going to tell. Where has she been and how did she find her way back home.
How does any cat find its way back home?

Have you ever heard the song, "The cat came back". It was a song we would sing in the car on road trips. It seems it is true, the cat came back because he couldn't stay away.

Yes that's true platy She would have had to hunt something to survive. Unless she was kidnapped, or taken in thinking she was a stray...and the people moved house or something...No-one will ever know her secrets.

She may have been living with another family or she may have lived at many places. Maybe to her it was just an extended holiday.
She might have been taken by someone or ended up on a truck. I understand that cats end up travelling in things like moving vans and end up far from home.
I wonder if she was looking for her people all the time she was away.

If only cats could talk.
