Family adopts cat with same disability as their child
#1
A couple gave birth to a little girl with a cleft palate and cleft lip. The little girl was able to have surgery to correct the condition. Ivy has done well and she has a deep love for cats. So the family decided to adopt a kitten for her. They found a kitten at the shelter that also has a cleft palate. Adopting the kitten just seemed like the right thing to do. Sargent Pepper has also had his cleft palate fixed. He fits right in with his new family. They fully understand his condition. Things couldn't be better, or could they?
The story of the adoption won the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society a grant from the non profit Petco Love. So not only did Sargent Pepper find a perfect home, many other animals will be helped to find their forever homes.

This is a beautiful story where everybody wins.  The little girl is going to be okay and so is the cat. They are going to be even better because they have each other.
The shelter did a kind thing to look after a little kitten like Sargent Pepper and now they are being rewarded for their kindness. It is a happy story for everyone.

They were really meant to be together.  The shelter really deservers the money. They were willing to help Sargent Pepper and says a lot about them.
