Nurse rescues her patient's dog when he is in hospital

Nurse Jennifer cares for John in a day program. She knows his 13 year old dog is his life. When he had to be hospitalized, Boomer his dog ended up in a shelter. 
John begged Jennifer to help and she did. She went to the shelter and rescued Boomer. He lives with her now and visits John when she brings him to work.

That was a very kind think for a nurse to do for a patient. It is also one of the most healing things she can do.  John's love for his dog has kept him going. Knowing Boomer is safe and cared for will help him get better. What she did goes beyond the job description, but it is certainly within the spirit of the job.
