Happy Groundhog Day!

This image explains it perfectly. If the groundhog sees his shadow there will be six more weeks of winter.
If he doesn't see his shadow then we will have spring in six more weeks.

Maybe you have to live is a frozen country to need a little furry rodent to remind you that winter is half over.
It is half over. One way or the other we have hit the halfway point of winter. Even if  the second half of winter is nasty like the first half, the days are getting longer and we can sense a change. Winter just doesn't have the hold on us it did during January. It no longer looks like an endless ocean of cold whiteness.

This is our current reality so I don't think anyone is seeing their shadow.
We are supposed to have a three day snowfall starting in a few hours.
What happens if they can't dig the groundhog out?

Yes, it's that time of year. Stuff has been falling from the sky all day. Is it rain or is it snow? I would have to say yes. It is doing both. The snow piles up and as the temperature drops tonight, the rain will turn it into ice. We have six more weeks of this ahead of us. When spring comes we really do appreciate it.
