Austin Cat Sitters cared for 30+ cats during the 2021 storm

In Feb 2021, Austin Texas was hit with a real winter storm. The power went out and no one was prepared for the blast of winter that hit them. Austin Cat Sitters had 30+ cats on their care list. They recognized that those cats were dependent on them and their owners were counting on them. Somehow they made it to every cat and made sure they were okay. It was dangerous weather for them to be out in, but they had cats to care for and no amount of ice and snow could stop them.

It is good to know that there are pet sitters that are that dedicated.  They had some emergency plans, but no one was ready for the weather they got.
They have reviewed their emergency plans since then and they are more ready. Hopefully everyone in the area is more ready for the unexpected.
What is impressive was the way they handled things during the 2021 storm. I doubt the Austin Cat Sitters or anyone had snow tires or antifreeze. Why would an Austin Texas store stock antifreeze. They still managed to get to every cat and meet their needs.  Well done Austin Cat Sitters.
