Animals in danger in Kiev Zoo

Thousands of animals are trapped in the danger zone in the zoo in Kiev.  The animals are stressed because of the shelling and food is scarce.

I can't imagine what they can do to protect the animals. Really all they can do is make sure they are fed, watered and kept clean. 
I don't think they could safely evacuate the animals. Maybe some could be moved, but it is not safe to do so. 
We just have to hope for their safety and admire the dedication of the zoo staff who are risking their lives to be there.

This is an article about a different Ukrainian Zoo. The zoo is working hard to care for the animals, but they desperately need food supplies. They are asking people to donate. There is so much need in Ukraine right now. We can't give to everything, but we can all do something. If we all help a little it will make a difference.
I have to admire the zoo staff who are doing their best to keep the animals safe and well cared for even though they are in a war zone. That is true dedication.

I young lady doing rescue work went into a danger zone to feed some dogs that were starving and was killed by Russian soldiers.

That is heartbreaking. People are risking their lives and they are being killed. It is a brutal situation.
Animals are starving, but people are being killed if they try to help them.
I don't know how this is going to end, but it doesn't look good so far.
