Quebec to ban declawing and cosmetic procedure on pets this summer.
#1
The Quebec government is working on the legislation to ban declawing and cosmetic procedures on pets. They hope to have this settled by the summer.
Going forward these procedures would only be allowed if deemed medically necessary.
People who have been petitioning for this change in the laws are overjoyed.
It is a big step in the right direction for animals in Quebec.

This is big. Each province in Canada must create its own bans. Having a big province like Quebec ban declawing, ids going to have an effect on other provinces.
Some of these procedures are cruel and so unnecessary.  Every ban brings us closer to a world where animals are not mutilated by a human whim.
