Guinea pigs and fresh grass
#1
Photo
I gave my guinea pigs fresh picked grass. It really is a treat because it is not always available.

As expected the boys love it!

Of course Flora viewed it with suspicion

As you can see the boys are really into it.

With encouragement she at least tried a bit.

The boys made a party of it.

Flora finally got into eating her grass.

The boys are so relaxed about everything and Flora is so cautious and proper. I get a laugh out of their different reactions to things.Smiley4

All our girlies love the fresh grass. I haven't tried the fosters with it yet as the are only just getting used to veggies, but I hope they will enjoy it when I do.
I've not met a piggy yet that didn't like grass.

They love it when it is the soft fresh picked grass. I get such a laugh about watching them eat it.Smiley4
I am sure your fosters will love the grass when first try it. It must be an incredible experience for a guinea pig. They are a grazing animal so grass is very natural for them.

I would love to take them out and have them actually graze, but they would be too scared and it would be too dangerous.
