An 80 pound tortoise has gone missing from a BC backyard. Maxine the 14 year old tortoise was grazing in the yard. When her family went to bring her into her heated enclosure, she was missing. Did she wander off? How fast could a tortoise go? Everyone is looking for her. She would be hard to miss.
Was she stolen? How do you steal an 80 pound tortoise. She wouldn't fit in your pocket or be easy to lift.

Whatever happened, I hope the get her back soon. She needs special care and clearly her family have been doing a good job. She needs to be with her family, the people who have cared for her since she was a hatchling. If she is out there, I hope someone sees her and helps he make her way home. If someone has her, do the right thing and return her to her people. Come home Maxine, your family misses you.
