This is a beautiful rescue story. A photographer was visiting Belize and he went kayaking. He was paddling past a small island and just happened to see a tail wagging. What he found when he checked it out was a starving puppy. He put the puppy in the kayak and brought him back to the hotel. From there he went to a vet and with help set up a foster home for the puppy. The puppy thrived and became healthy and happy. Then he was able to bring the puppy to the USA
where they were happily united.

You wonder how many people went past the island and never noticed the dog. Clearly he was starving and would have died soon. I guess as a photographer he would tend to notice things. He certainly saved the dog's life. It is beautiful to see how happy they are together. I do wonder what the dogs thinks about trading sand for snow. Of course that snow comes with a loving home so it is worth the exchange.
