Air Canada restricts animal travelers until Sept
#1
Air Canada is restricting animal passengers until Sept. They will still be allowed in the cabin with their people, but they will not be able to travel in the cargo hold.

This is a very responsible decision. Right now airline travel is in chaos. The risk of a pet in the cargo hold getting lost in a pile of unclaimed luggage is too high.
It is also going to be very hot some days. With all the delays, an animal could sit in the extreme heat a dangerous amount of time. I think what they are doing could save lives. Until it cools down and the airports/airlines regain their efficiency, it is safer not to travel with a pet.

I hope the other airlines and the people traveling think about it before they risk their pet. Things will settle down and the weather will cool down, but not right now.
