Wildlife is suffering in the European heat wave

The heat wave in Europe is record breaking. People are suffering and wildfires are burning.
What is also suffering is wildlife. Water sources are drying up. Plants needed for food are dying. Insects that feed on the plants are not there for the birds to eat. 
Whole ecosystems are stressed out. Animals don't have the option of going else where for food. They can't choose alternate food sources because there are none for them. This could have consequences for years. Some animal populations could take years to recover, if they ever do.

This is a disaster, but it is also just another manifestation of Global warming or more accurately, catastrophic climate change.
I wonder if now we will be willing to fight climate change and prevent things from getting worse.
