Bird Flu kills thousands of birds in Newfoundland.
#1
I haven't gotten over the shock of all the dead birds in the UK. Now I am hearing about dead birds on the east coast of Canada. Right now they are talking about many species of dead birds in Newfoundland. The bird flu spreads within the breeding colonies. It is unclear how many birds have died or will continue to die.

It is also unclear if it will spread. Birds migrate and they take the flu with them. I can't imagine how bad this could get if it spreads around the world. Bird populations could be decimated everywhere. We are watching a disaster unfold and I don't think there is any way to stop it, unless we can find a way to vaccinate wild birds and stop the spread.  Smiley6
