Lost dog found 2 months later in a local cave

Thirteen year old Abby went out for a run with her doggy companion, Summer on June 9. The next morning, Summer came home, Abby did not. Her owner Jeff posted pictures and information, but no one had seen her.
On Aug 6 a group of people entered the Berome Moore Cave. They found a dog. Word got out about the dog. Jeff went to check, just to be sure. He didn't think it could be Abby. It was Abby. 
It took a lot of careful work to get her out of the cave safely. She was pretty fragile after all that time in the cold and dark. She had lost much of her body weight.
Now she is home and recovering and gaining weight. She is even acting like her old self again.

That is an incredible survival story. The dog had no way of knowing that people would come to rescue her, but she never gave up.
She must have believed in her people so much that she knew they would come for her. In the end they did. It is wonderful that she is back home and acting like her happy self again.
